Janet Campbell

Janet has been the HR Director at the R&R Delivery Authority since September 2020. The Delivery Authority was incorporated to design and deliver the Restoration & Renewal Programme for the Palace restoration and related works on behalf of the Houses of Parliament.

Prior to joining the Delivery Authority, Janet was an Independent HR Consultant where she blended HR Director roles with independent consultancy and advisory services across the private and public sector. Her portfolio included interim leadership of HR functions, developing & implementing HR strategy, developing bespoke L&D programmes, coaching & advising senior executives, as well as successfully resolving complex employee relations issues.

Janet was the HR Director at Ofcom (the UK’s communications regulator) for over 10 years where she played a pivotal role in both establishing the organisation and developing the HR strategy which supported the organisation as it grew to be a world leading communications regulator. Janet has also worked in technology and oil & gas sectors.

Janet is also an experienced non-executive director; she currently sits on the People Committee of an NHS Foundation Trust Hospital. She is also a member of the People & Remuneration Committee of The Law Society and is a trustee and chair of the Appointments & Remuneration Committee at NYJO, an arts education charity who provide nationwide Learning & Participation jazz programmes for teenagers and performance for young artists aged 18-26.

Outside of work, Janet is an avid reader, active netball player, umpire, and coach; she also tries to fit in a couple of gym sessions a week, and practices yoga on a regular basis.
